D.Va is a fictional character that appeared in Blizzard Entertainment's first-person shooter Overwatch
and its related media. D.Va came from Busan, South Korea, whose real name was Song Hanna, was a (former) professional player and mechs driver. She is the South Korean Army Special Maneuver Unit. D.Va has a powerful mech that features two fully automatic, infinity ammunition close-range fusion guns, a propeller that can make your Mech leapfrog enemies or obstructions, and a defense that defends long-range attacks from the front matrix.
D.Va was first released in October 2015 along with Genji and Xiaomei ,who was one of the last to be introduced before the official release of Overwatch. D.Va was designed as a tank-type character, using a pink exoskeletal armor to combat. As a moving tank player, D.Va is also designed as a "forward" character. Shortly after the game was released, D.Va was pointed out to have a low damage output. And D.Va was also pointed out that she was more vulnerable to get damage than other tank-type characters due to the lack of shields faced with multiple opponents in the game. Goldman pointed out that "every character in the game has its own strengths and weaknesses in order to get the team to work better."
